I did my undergraduate in Physics and Astronomy at Haverford College ('23), and began my PhD in the Physics & Astronomy department at Johns Hopkins University, where I earned my M.A. in Astrophysics. I transferred to UC San Diego at the end of my second year.
When I'm not thinking about stars, I spend my time creating art. My primary mediums are digital illustration (see a selected portfolio here) and fabric arts (sewing, crochet, needle felting). I am always learning, currently: knitting, beadwork, linocut printing, animation, and 3D modeling. Recently, I have been turning more towards physical media, as creating tangible art feels more and more critical with every day in the current state of the world. As of now, my art is separate from my research; I am aiming to change that soon, though delving into astronomy visualizations.
I also enjoy growing my houseplant collection, visiting new coffee shops, thrifting, cooking, and I have picked up a love of tidepooling since moving to San Diego :)
